How To Order A Custom Arrangement

Custom arrangements, tailored for just what you need, have never been easier! Start by telling us what you need: the title, the size of the group, etc. -- and when you need it. We'll get back to you ASAP with an exact price quote and delivery date.

Once we have all the info we need, and you're satisfied with the details of the arrangement, we'll begin work. For smaller projects, you don't have to pay until the work is completed. For larger projects, some or all of the price may be required in advance (particularly if it requires us to block off dedicated time to your project).

Schools and non-profit organizations: Purchase orders can be accepted with prior approval. Email us your proposal and we'll set it up!

* Charts that are already in our catalog can be modified (use more or less instruments, add written-out solos or parts, add or delete vocals,  change to a different key, etc.) to make a perfect fit for your group. If you don't see it listed, just ask!

    Tell Us What You Need!

Arrangements We Can Do

Practically any song, in any style, for any group of instruments or voices. Just tell us what song you want, what instruments you have, and anything else you need in the arrangement.

Also, transpositions (you provide a complete score in one key, and we send you it back in another key) and copying (you send us a hand-written mess, and we send you pristine typeset sheet music back).

Arrangements We Don't Do

Transcriptions or exact copies of other arrangements. For example, we are not interested in rewriting "the Bette Midler version of . . .," or "the Sinatra version of . . .". We can however make you an arrangement "in the style of . . . ".

Background or karaoke tracks. You can get, if requested, an mp3 sample of what your arrangement will sound like, but these are intended for demo or rehearsal purposes only. Our focus is making great sheet music, rather than spending a lot of time making polished audio tracks. (Original audio for film and video is another subject, and we are happy to take on those projects!)

About Royalties, Copyright, and Performance Licenses

As a performer, you are entitled to play copyrighted songs, and the composers (or copyright holders) are entitled to a royalty every time their songs are played. In most cases you never have to do anything to ensure these royalties are collected and paid. That's because most venues that feature live music on a regular basis (concert halls and auditoriums, clubs, etc.) pay blanket royalties on a regular schedule that cover ALL the songs performed in their venue. Performing rights organizations (like ASCAP, BMI, and Harry Fox) collect these payments and distribute them to their associated composers.

Exceptions -- when you actually may need to do something -- are when you are performing "grand" works, like an opera or ballet, because those rights are administered somewhat differently, or if you make recordings. Please consult a qualified copyright attorney if you have any questions about your copyright responsibilities.
